Our client a leading retail brand is searching for an experienced Demand Planner to be based in Johannesburg The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 to 4 years experience in demand planning with the clothing/ retail/ fashion industry with FMCG also being considered

Key Performance Areas
Demand/Sales forecasting analyze sales history and current trend to forecast future with reasonable accuracy
Solid understanding of retail KPI&rsquos and metrics ie Markdown Sell thru OTB Weeks Cover
Set review and reconcile periodic demand plans
Continually evaluate and assess internal and external data plans capabilities and constraints to understand impact to effective inventory management execution
Taking the lead in establishing/maintaining seasonal purchasing strategy and rationale which aligns to inventory planning objectives
ERP system knowledge/ forecasting tools
Analyze and summarize large amounts of data for effective decision making

Requirements
Bachelor of Commerce BCom or similar commercial degree
3 to 4 years experience in clothing retail is advantageous but FMCG will be considered
Solid understanding of retail KPI&rsquos and metrics eg Markdown Sell thru OTB Weeks Cover etc
Advanced MS Excel & must be comfortable working with pivot tables
Must have experience or exposure to assortment/ range building
Must have ERP system knowledge/ forecasting tools
Must have be able to Analyze and summarize large amounts of data for effective decision making
Merchant mindset and strong business acumen
Excellent communication skills
Organizational and prioritization skills
Cross functional collaboration
