The position of Assistant Production Manager has become available in Cape Town at a leading client of ours

Key Responsibilities
Generate factory plan per CMT based on merchandise plan and commodity capacity
Manage replanning due to fabric availability and early production to cope with seasonal variances and demand fluctuations
Receive briefs from buying departments
Develop patterns with Production Assistant Marker Makers and CMT in order to produce all development and fit samples
Manage sample engineering taking into account cost and local production capabilities and suggest alternatives
Manage pattern library
Garment wash development for denims
Develop source and cost various new trim items for samples as briefed
Instruct Trim Buyer on stock holding requirements
Develop and source new CMTs
Ensure that styles are issued timeously to meet required delivery dates  Working closely with buying teams on delivery requirements
Visit factories regarding all production related issues
Manage and sign off costings of all styles
Negotiate prices for all items and services
Manage all raw material utilisation and stock control instruct fabric purchasing regarding claims for quality quantity discrepancies etc
Manage planned cut requirements vs actual for all orders at CMT
Manage delivery performance by CMT
Sign of all invoicing against order quantity price etc for all CMT orders
Manufacturing pipeline management and SLAs
Provide fabric purchasing with estimated ratings for fabric ordering
Manage trim ordering
Budget management

Minimum Requirements
Grade 12
Relevant Tertiary qualification

Salary Market related
